Orbi aims to maximize students’ study time with an efficient, intuitive and smooth app to find everything related to campus life. Based on who you are, what you study and which semester/study year you are studying, the feed is filled with relevant events and information. You will also be able to buy tickets, follow favorite associations and take part in the latest news concerning the event you are going to on Friday!
As a student association, you easily administer your activities via the Orbis web dashboard. Here you can create activities, sell tickets and charge for these in one and the same place. It also makes it easier for your treasurers, who receive complete documentation where all activities within your association or section are reported, with a setup that is adapted exactly to your organization.

You can also send notifications to groups of students to reach out with quick, direct and important information – like a tap on the shoulder when needed.
During September, an integration will also be launched to be able to verify union membership directly via Orbi – where associations can offer discounts that automatically give the right price to the right student.

For the student
All students experience Orbi 100% via the Orbi app, and can thereby find events, information and career-related content based on data entered during registration or well within the app.
A student who creates an account in Orbi automatically follows all associations and committees that are relevant depending on what you study – you walk through a tree structure – from the school centrally (where accounts such as FF and Kårservice are followed) to more local parts that belong to one’s student union and finally section.
After registration, you can add your own interest associations by exploring and wandering around the tree around LiU to acquire the most relevant and interesting content in the app. All students must have a valid LiU email in order to register, to ensure that only LiU students find their way to the events.
For student associations
As a student association, all administration of Orbi takes place via a web interface. Here you can create events, sell tickets, send out information, create job ads and take care of everything from A to Z when you carry out arrangements all the way to getting ready reports for accounting and closing the books for the next business year. Major advantages of the app are, among other things, that your events will reach selected target groups for your association, that you reduce the risk of fake tickets in digital tickets, and the opportunity to reach out more widely with public and open events.
To access your association’s Orbi account, you must add at least one administrator to it, whereupon this administrator can in turn invite more colleagues. You can therefore be more or all of the board connected to the same account.
All LUST-approved associations will receive an invitation link to the email indicated as the contact person in the LUST list of LUST-approved associations, where you have 14 days to activate the account.
Should the link not appear for various reasons, you can send an email to Liu@orbiapp.io, and specify the following:
- Name on association
- Place in the school´s ecosystem (central > student union > section /or indepentend association
- Email-adress for invitation to Orbi
In sections where there may be many committees/associations, extra time may be required to go through your specific needs – e.g. in cases where a board handles the accounting for smaller committees/associations within the section, because you can connect smaller committees/associations via the Orbi-pay payment system associations to the board’s main account, and thus receive payments & reports for the bookkeeping from all relevant parts of the section.
However, this means that smaller committees can still administer their own events, but that all payments made for e.g. tickets go into the board’s reports and bank account.
